Caring Strangers
In essence - this is Israel.
Israel is a country of people from all around the world, who
came here - some as refugees, some who chose to relocate here
from other lands where life might have been offered them more
material rewards, but fewer spiritual and social ones.
Israel
is a country where one might say strangers care about each
other, but it wouldn't be true - because, in Israel, there are
no strangers. In Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, the north, and the south,
Israel is not just a place of great sites and restaurants and
tourism. It is a place where people live and help, every day. In
the good times and the bad times, we see Israelis reaching out
to help each other, caring strangers who step out of their
personal lives to help someone else.
Many are the times someone will come up to a young mother and
tell her to add a blanket to cover a baby, button a child's
sweater, watch a child who is about to make a mess. Many are the
times someone offers to comfort someone else's child, that
apparent strangers reach out to lend a hand.
We see this in the aftermath of tragedy, but we also see this
in the day to day happenings. This page is dedicated to the many
caring strangers in Israel.

Mutual Responsibility: This is
the story of a family who needed a place of refuge when Israel
was recently attacked by Hizbollah, which launched more than
4,000 rockets at the northern residents.
Mind your own business: This is a
wonderful story of a frantic babysitter, a crying baby, and a
stranger who cared enough to help. This is...well, this is
Israel. Have your own
